Welcome to Fiennes Class!
On this page you will find all the information you need to know about our class.
Our teacher this year is Miss Higginson with Mrs Wilkins and Mrs Cavanagh supporting our learning.
Our topic this half term (Autumn 2) is Walk This Way. We will be learning about the local area and looking at how Andover has changed.
We highly encourage parents to read with their children at home as this not only helps to develop their reading skills but their enjoyment and pleasure for reading too. With this in mind, children who read 5 times or more at home over the course of the week are entered into a raffle with the winner being able to choose and keep a book. If you read with your child at home, simply record it in their home school diaries. Our library book change day is Monday and our banded book change day is Friday. Thank you for your support.
This half term (Autumn 2) we will be doing indoor PE on a Monday (New Age Kurling) and outdoor PE every Wednesday afternoon (Netball/Basketball). It is important that your child has their named PE kit in school everyday, so that they can participate in all sessions.
Forest school will take place every other week on a Tuesday Morning. Our dates for this half term are:
Please ensure your child brings a long sleeved top, trousers, socks and a pair of wellies, in a named bag. Alternatively children can come to school in their forest school clothes and bring their uniform in a named bag. If you wish to help with any of the sessions, please let one of us know. Thank you!
Come back soon for more updates and to see photos of the exciting things we have been doing.
