Science & Geography - Natural disasters
We began our learning about natural disasters by looking at different types of rocks and how they are formed. We then looked at how tectonic plates create different physical features of mountains and volcanoes.
For this we used towels, a balloon, crackers, jelly and play-doh to find out about the formation of plateau, dome, fault and fold mountains. Just look at the fun we had!
Learning in English
After shuffle up day, where we got the chance to meet our new Year 4 teachers, we decided to write about our experiences that day and share them with our new teacher!
Our personal narratives describe how we were feeling that day. Some of us felt nervous while some of us felt excited! But, even though it made some of us feel a little anxious of the year ahead we thoroughly enjoyed our time with our new teacher!
Come back to see some of our finished pieces of narrative work!
