Year 4

Welcome to Year 4 Pages

Anning and Darwin

Welcome back to an exciting second half of the Spring Term.

In Spring 2, year 4 will continue to have Forest School sessions. These sessions will take place on a Wednesday afternoon.

Darwin Class session dates are:  6th March, 20th March, 3rd April

Anning Class session dates are: 27th February, 13th March, 27th March

As previously, children will need lots of layers to keep them warm as the weather will probably remain on the cooler side: long sleeved t-shirt, hoodie/fleece, warm trousers, thick socks, coat, gloves and hat. If your son/daughter has wellington boots then please send these in too. If children bring in their own wellington boots can you please ensure they have a separate plastic bag for these so they don't have to be put with clothes. Thank you.

As before, waterproof trousers and jackets will be provided by school and wellingtons are available for those who don't have any.

The Forest School sessions are always an exciting time.

PE sessions - PE kits should be in school all week but out weekly planned sessions are Monday pm and Friday pm.

Please ensure winter outside and general PE kit are in schools. Socks are required if children wear tights to school, a hairband should be provided for shoulder-length or longer hair to be tied back and earring tape should be provided if earrings cannot be removed independently.  Thank you for your continuing co-operation as this ensures that the PE curriculum can be consistently covered.

This year, Anning Class is being taught by Mr White and the lovely Miss Forbes is the super Teaching Assistant.

Darwin Class is being taught by Mrs McDade and the lovely Mrs Crisp is the super Teaching Assistant.

We have an exciting year planned which includes lots of active learning so keep popping back to our year group page and have a look at the photographs to see what we have been learning.

As always, if you have any queries or concerns, please feel free to: write them in your child's diary; speak to an adult at the door in the morning; speak to the teacher at the end of the day once all children have left the classroom; contact the office to ask a teacher to call you or to arrange an appointment.
