Bushcraft Residential
Update: Tuesday 21st May
The children arrived safely at Bushcraft yesterday and they had a great 1st day.
For lunch they made a fire and cooked burgers, then they made their own shelters and played games outside.
They were really quiet in the evening and had a good nights sleep.
The children woke up fairly early this morning (when the sun came up) and had sausages, beans and potatoes for breakfast.
This mornings activities are a nature walk and learning first aid.
Tuesday 21st May - Evening Update
Today we have learnt about survival first aid and had pizza cooked in a pizza oven in the forest.
This afternoon, we learnt about the parts of a salmon fish and how to de-bone it. Then we used knives to whittle a stick into a pencil.
We've also made bracelets!
We are looking forward to Chilli Con Carne for dinner this evening and then we'll be taking part in a talent show and sleeping all night, without waking the adults.
Update - Wednesday 22nd May 2024
Today we were up early for breakfast, before heading into the forest to perfect our trap making skills.
The children all enjoyed a final lunch together before packing ready to head back to School.
The children have been fantastic!
