Year 3

Welcome to Year 3 at Endeavour Primary. In this year group, children build on the foundations from Year 2 and develop their confidence in reading, writing and mathematics. Our curriculum is designed to support secure learning, encourage curiosity and help pupils make steady progress through engaging lessons and clear expectations.

In English, children focus on developing vocabulary, improving sentence structure and writing for different purposes. Reading remains a key priority, with opportunities to practise comprehension skills and discuss texts. In mathematics, pupils strengthen their understanding of number and place value, develop fluency with key calculations and apply their skills to solve problems in a range of contexts.

We also provide a broad and balanced curriculum, including science, history, geography, art, design and technology, music and physical education. Throughout the year, we work closely with families to support learning at home through practical activities and regular updates.
