Year 4

Welcome to Year 4 at Endeavour Primary. This year builds on the strong foundations from Key Stage 1 and Year 3, supporting children as they develop greater independence, confidence and curiosity in their learning. We focus on clear routines, high expectations and engaging lessons that help pupils make steady progress across all areas of the curriculum.

In English, children will strengthen their reading skills and develop writing for a range of purposes, including stories, explanations and persuasive texts. In mathematics, we continue to secure number knowledge and fluency, while also deepening understanding of place value, fractions and problem-solving. Science, history, geography and art are taught through carefully planned topics that encourage children to ask questions, investigate and communicate their ideas clearly.

We value strong partnerships with parents and carers. Please support your child by encouraging regular reading, practising key maths facts and speaking positively about school.
