Avon Tyrrell Residential 2025
Friday 23rd May
We were up bright and early this morning to make sure everything was packed and our tents were left tidy. Hopefully everyone has everything that they brought with them, however we can’t guarantee that it will be as clean or as organised as when it came. We enjoyed one final cooked breakfast before heading out for our final activities. The coaches will be picking us up after lunch and then we will be making our way back to school. We will let you know our ETA.
Everyone is looking forward to getting home to see their families and to sleep in a proper bed. However, we leave Avon Tyrrell having made new memories and formed new friendships. The adults couldn’t be prouder of our wonderful Endeavour pupils. They have been fantastic all week and have exemplified our ANCHOR values in everything that they have done.
What an amazing time we have had at Avon Tyrrell!

Thursday 22nd May
Good morning from our penultimate day here at Avon Tyrrell. After a great nights sleep and a cooked breakfast, we are ready and raring to go for an action packed day of activities. The sunshine has returned today too!
All groups are currently enjoying their morning activities which include: high ropes, kayaking, shelter building and a challenge course.
It’s been another amazing day here at Avon Tyrrell! We’ve ended the day with a disco which has been a fantastic way to round off our trip. Lots of singing, dancing and having fun with friends.

Wednesday 21st May
Good morning from a rather wet and cloudy morning at Avon Tyrrell!
After a busy day yesterday, everyone was fast asleep by 10pm and slept soundly until 7.30am. Pancakes were on the menu for breakfast this morning which were the perfect way to fuel up for the day. The weather isn’t going to stop us having fun today. All groups are off out for their first activities of the day. Some are zip lining, some are completing a challenge course and some are raft building.
It’s been another busy, fun-filled day here at Avon Tyrrell with all groups enjoying a variety of activities. We haven’t let the on and off rain get in the way of us having fun.
Tonight, we’ve enjoyed an indoor BBQ and will shortly be off to complete the opposite activity to last night.

Tuesday 20th May
Good morning from a sunny Avon Tyrrell ☀️
An early start this morning with most tents waking up at sun rise. A hearty cooked breakfast (and coffee for the adults) was much needed this morning to get everyone ready for a full day of activities. All of the groups are off out on their first activity of the day now. Some groups are abseiling, some are completing a high ropes course and some are having a go at archery.
What an action packed second day we have had here! Everyone has had a fantastic day trying new activities, facing their fears and making wonderful memories.
Tonight three of the groups are having a campfire and the other three groups are night orienteering. Tomorrow, the groups will complete the opposite evening activity.

Monday 19th May
We arrived safety to Avon Tyrrell at around 11am this morning. Once we arrived, we were shown around the estate and then made our way to the campsite where we will be staying for the next 5 days. After unpacking and settling into our tents, it was time for lunch. There was the choice of tomato pasta, pesto pasta or jacket potato. Everyone enjoyed their first lunch and fuelled up for the afternoon.
This afternoon, all of the groups have completed their first 2 activities; all of the groups will complete all of the activities over the next 5 days. Kayaking and zip lining was a particular favourite amongst the groups that had the opportunity to try these today.
This evening, we have enjoyed a delicious dinner of pizza and are now chilling back at the camp, playing games and spending time with our friends.
