The Endeavour Maths Vision

Children at Endeavour will build the knowledge, skills and self-belief to develop a love of maths through a mastery approach. They will understand that mathematics is not just as a subject, but a tool to help them succeed in life. A core component of the mastery approach is the teaching of a range of strategies through a Concrete, Pictorial and Abstract (CPA) approach to learning, built on through plenty of practice in engaging, experimental and rich problem-solving tasks: all of which will help children to develop procedural and conceptual calculate fluency so that they are confident is articulating their reasoning and to understand the world of mathematics that is all around them.
