Home Learning
At Endeavour, we provide children will a number of opportunities to extend their learning beyond the school day. Children will be set the following pieces of home learning:
- Phonics/Spelling
- Reading
- Project
- Times Tables (Year 2-6)
If you have any questions about how you can further support your child with their learning at home then please speak to your child's class teacher.
Reading
At Endeavour, we would expect children to read four times a week and for this to be recorded in their home school diary and signed by an adult. Children will earn a raffle ticket each week for completing their four reads and they will be entered into a prize draw to win a trip to Waterstones with Miss Palmer.
In addition to their weekly reading children also have the opportunity to participate in the Reading Challenge details can be found in the links below.
Project
Over the course of the year, children will participate in a number of projects. Children will be set home learning to complete alongside each project. Children will be able to select from a range of activities that are designed to engage all learners. If your child wishes to follow their own lines of enquiry this should be encouraged. All completed home learning will be shared and celebrated with the class.
